This project has to be my favourite loft so far this year, technically it wasn’t your straight forward three bed semi loft, it was a double hip-to-gable plus raising the ridge all the time keeping the house water tight; therefore, we had to build the new roof over the top leaving the pyramid shaped old roof inside, a roof inside a room.
The finial size six metre by five metre floorspace allowed us to have a nice big en-suite bathroom allowing for a huge 2 metre walk-in shower still leaving a very spacious master bedroom. The proportions worked great inside and out, with the reclaimed bricks to match the existing perfectly capped off with a whole new roof facia and gutters all added up to this outstanding loft conversion and another very happy family.
