ABOUT THE PROJECT

This project is a stunning example of how a dormer conversion can completely transform your property. Our client approached us with a simple brief, to add a new, modern master bedroom and en-suite to their home to accommodate their young, growing family. With a huge dark, unused roof, their loft was perfect for converting into a bright, spacious top-floor.

WHAT WE DID

We began the project by changing the double hipped detached house into two brick gables and adding a flat roof dormer to the rear of the property, with VELUX window at the front. The dormer was built by combining steel beams with timber construction, completely opening up the existing loft and creating a much more usable space to work with.

To create the perfect entrance to their new master bedroom, we installed a beautiful bespoke staircase wile also matching the existing oak handrail and spindles. We also matched the new oak doors in the loft to the existing throughout the property, complementing the loft conversion while ensuring full compliance with fire regulations. This simple yet impactful update completely elevated the look and feel of our client’s home.

The new bedroom is bright and spacious, flooded with natural light from four front-facing VELUX window, and two UPVC dormer windows at the rear. The client’s large bed fits perfectly within the space, leaving plenty of room to move around – something not always achievable in a loft conversion.

Last but certainly not least is the ensuite. This space is simply stunning with a large walk-in shower, sink and loo vanity unit. Our client chose some beautiful tiling with a feature wall around the shower that perfectly complements the chrome fittings.

We recently had a loft conversion completed by MPH Construction at our home on Ainsdale Road, and we couldn’t be happier with the result. From the very beginning, Matt was excellent — professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful throughout the whole process. He provided plenty of guidance along the way and made everything feel straightforward and stress-free. Daz was also brilliant and always willing to help sort things out quickly and efficiently. No question or clarification was ever too much trouble for the team.

It’s clear from their previous projects and work showcased online that they specialise in high-quality loft conversions and construction work, and that definitely showed in the finished product. The attention to detail and standard of workmanship were outstanding from start to finish. Not only did they create an amazing loft space with a beautiful, posh bathroom, but they also helped us with additional improvements around the house, including fitting a new radiator in the kitchen area and installing an extraction fan in the existing bathroom, amongst other things. Nothing was ever too much hassle.
